Conservas de Cambados

Founded nearly four decades ago by mussel wholesaler José Luis Alfonso, Conservas de Cambados has become a benchmark for gourmet preserves in Spain. José’s children, Maite and Keko, now lead the company, continuing the tradition of small-batch, artisanal processing. Their seafood, sourced from various parts of Spain, is purchased at peak freshness and processed by skilled artisans, mostly women, in a small factory in Pontevedra.

Galicia, located in northwest Spain, is renowned for the rich marine life of the Ría de Arousa - one of the five main estuaries in the Rías Baixas. This nutrient-dense area is world renowned for its clams and cockles, as well as mollusks such as mussels grown in floating nurseries called "bateas."

Conservas de Cambados combines artisanal quality with culinary tradition, using iconic packaging inspired by Galician seafood nets. This dedication to heritage and excellence makes them a leader in the gourmet conserva market.
